Today, we're going to talk about the "vinyl pool light", which is a fixture special for vinyl liner pools. Let's discuss what makes it so good.

A vinyl-liner type pool is defined by a solid PVC-reinforced liner material that lines the interior walls of the pool. Vinyl liner pools are visually attractive and generally cost very little to install, but they come with a very specific restriction - the walls cannot have holes drilled into them for the purpose of attaching any type of equipment, because you'll cause a leak and ruin the liner if you do! Some frequently asked questions :

1. What's the lighting like here? Yeah, I know, you can't swim at night when it's that dark outside. The "Vinyl Pool Light" is made for vinyl pools, so you can enjoy night swimming!

The main difference between standard pool lights and this product is the way in which they are installed. Standard pool lights are most commonly installed in a wall-mounted (or surface-mounted) manner, i.e., the light is attached directly to the wall of the pool with screws, without having to cut into the wall or otherwise alter the structure of the pool. In contrast to standard lights, this product requires an embedded (or inbuilt) installation method; either installed into the pool wall before the wall's fabrication or installed by cutting a hole into the existing pool wall to accept the light. When structural integration is necessary, and superior aesthetics are desired, and dimensional limits must be maintained, this product is the optimal choice.

1) Your vinyl liner swimming pool already exists, but you did not have any lights when it was first built, and you would now like to add lighting. With this fixture, you can do so without a major expense or having to go through expensive remodeling work.

2) You may be avoiding making holes in your pool wall just to avoid messing around in your pool, or maybe you are afraid it will leak after you have made a hole, so this will allow you to light up your pool without a hassle.

The illumination that this lamp gives off is soft and will not produce a significant amount of radiant heat that can potentially harm your vinyl liner either by melting it or causing its coloration to change; a very important aspect for this variety of pool.

2. How's the reliability of materials and waterproofing?

Within the outdoor lighting industry, two essential factors are considered when evaluating outdoor lighting products: sunlight will cause materials to deteriorate over time, and water will have access to materials through extensions and submersions, thus negatively impacting the products.

Let's talk about the materials. The light is surrounded by a housing made out of glass-fibre reinforced heavy-duty ABS nylon, with a top cover made out of polycarbonate (PC) that is UV resistant. What this means basically is that it doesn't break in the sun, it doesn't yellow, and it isn't fragile for a year after direct sun exposure (like a hot summer).

The next feature to discuss is waterproofing. The product has an IP68 waterproofing structure. The structure is waterproof better than using adhesives to seal the product. The IP68 waterproofing structure will allow the user to submerge their fixture(s) under several meters of water and leave it there for several hours, and the fixture(s) will not be penetrated by water. Swimming pools are typically not very deep and, therefore, aren't a danger to the fixture due to water pressure.

It comes with a power cable made of VDE-certified rubber that measures 1.5 meters in length. This cable offers good flexibility and a good balance between rigidity, good electrical insulation, and much more than the rigid PVC power cables, which can crack after exposure to severe winter temperatures.

3. What kind of performance does the light output have? There are two options:

The RGB (color) version is constructed with SMD3528 LED chips and therefore produces a much broader array of bright colors with smooth gradients and brilliant color changes.

The multi-chip SMD5050 (white) version produces brighter light and has a very wide color temperature range for producing an extremely bright and brilliant white.

The units' beam angles are 120°, and when the units are submerged underwater, they will create a soft halo effect as opposed to a very harsh light beam.

It can deliver synchronized control. If you install more than one light in the pool, the same controller will be able to make all the lights change color and flash simultaneously; therefore, the lights will be completely blended with each other in terms of the scene created. There are only two wires in the RGB synchronization used for wiring; therefore, it is easy to use and also compatible with almost all standard external controllers currently available on the market.

4. Is it safe to use it electrically?

This is important and should be answered. The most serious problem associated with pool lighting is the possibility that electrical leakage can occur.

This equipment operates on a low-voltage (12-volt) alternating current (AC) power source instead of the typical 220-volt AC utility power source. The significance of the 12 volts becomes evident when considering the safety of the electronic equipment itself; should the wiring become damaged or the unit become submerged in liquid, the likelihood of receiving an electric shock is essentially none. And because the integrated constant current drive circuitry contains both over-current and short-circuit protection, the nearly zero probability of electric shock is even further reduced.

5. What certifications do you have?

The company has been awarded many certifications for this specific line, which can be summarized as follows:

CE - This certification indicates the product complies with the established standards of safety within Europe; therefore, it allows the product to be sold in the European Union.

FCC - This certifies that a device complies with Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standards and is able to operate around multiple other electronic devices without causing interference (i.e., poolside wifi).
